Site Size & Condition: Small Tuol Tuol Prasat Dar (ទួលប្រាសាទដារ - Pronounced: Tuol Pra-saht Dar)

The village primary school houses a small earthen mound - located in the centre of the school playground - revealing brick and laterite fragments, as well as a collection of ancient sandstone artefacts. The artefacts - also still in the schoolyard - include six or seven pedestals and an intact consecration stone. (1) A small stupa appears to have been constructed out of ancient materials and sits nearby on a small laterite platform although it is unclear if this platform is original or was also built at a later date to house the stupa.

Some of the pedestals appear to be statue plinths while at least three do feature soma sutras suggesting that the original sanctuary featured at least three shrines. The aforementioned mound is a small one and brick fragments are relatively scarce so if the ancient temple consisted of brick towers - as is the case with nearby sites - then it must be assumed bricks were reused elsewhere - perhaps even in the construction of some of the school buildings. Additional decorative elements are however absent so any precise dating is impossible.

There are two square ponds on the eastern edge of the grounds - albeit featuring differing alignments - and no clear outline or traces of the original, ancient temple are discernable today.

(1) Most artefacts have been gathered together in one spot although images do reveal several more scattered around the grounds so the precise numbers require verification.
