FAQs

How do I learn to use the technology on the station?

  • The library does not currently have staff available for training and instruction. There are printed instructions and tutorials to help you learn and use the equipment.

How do I schedule a time to use the station?

  • You can reserve the digitization station by reserving The Studio from the Library’s website or by calling 303-795-3961. In order to book The Studio you will need to sign The Studio’s user agreement and have a library card in good standing.

What do you mean by file storage?

  • All library computers are equipped with software to delete all files on the computer after you logoff to protect user privacy, including the files you just digitized. You will need a way to store these files. This can include cloud storage (Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.) a flash drive, an external hard drive, or a blank DVD.

How much file storage will I need?

  • This depends on what you are digitizing and how much of it, but here are some good things to keep in mind:
    • On the highest end, a quality photo scan is 20 MB.

    • One hour of video is about 1 GB.

    • One minute of audio can take up to 10 MB
