Charles G. Reynard
Charles G. Reynard is a former judge of the Eleventh Circuit in Illinois.[1] He was elected to the bench in 2002.[2] He retired on December 31, 2015.[3]
Education
Reynard earned a B.A. from St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Indiana, going on to receive his J.D. from Loyola University School of Law. He was admitted to the bar in 1974.[2][4]
Career
From 1987 until joining the bench in 2002, Reynard was a state's attorney for McLean County. In addition to nine years in private practice, he has experience as an assistant state's attorney and assistant public defender.[2]
Reynard co-authored Voir Dire in Child Victim Sex Abuse Trials (1995) and A Strategic Guide for Illinois Prosecutors (1996), also authoring The Violence Stops Here: Prosecuting Domestic Violence (1999).[2]

- 1996: Volunteer of the Year for the McLean County Child Protection Network, United Way[2]

Reynard was retained to the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court with 80.4 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [5]
Evaluations
- The Illinois State Bar Association and participating attorneys rated Charles G. Reynard as Recommended for retention in a 2014 poll.[6]
- The Illinois Civil Justice League rated him "not recommended" for retention.[7]
