COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) - For the first time, Guy Fieri spoke about the petition to change the name of Columbus to "Flavortown."

The change.org petition has more than 117,000 signatures.

Fieri was born in Columbus, but his parents moved to California when he was young.

He was on fellow Ohio native Dan Patrick's sports talk show Tuesday morning and weighed in on the petition.

"I don't know all the details, I'm not behind this, I'm not the one instigating this," Fieri said. "Am I flattered? Yes. Do I think that there's a lot going on and a lot of decisions that need to be made before this happens? Yes. If anything like this were to really come about, of course, I would be there."

While Fieri has family spread out across Ohio, he hasn't visited in a while.

He said he's a big fan of Cincinnati chili and wishes it was in California.
