St. Martin High School’s Chris Hodgson named Mississippi’s Girls Wresting Coach of the Year

We have some exciting news out of St. Martin High School! The National Wrestling Coaches Association has recently announced the girls state coach of the year winners and you may recognize who’s representing the magnolia state.

We want to wish a big congratulations to St. Martin’s Chris Hodgson for being nationally recognized as Mississippi’s Head Girls Wrestling Coach of the Year! The much deserved coach has been listed as the Girls 1st team All State Head Coach for the past two years as well.

During his time as head coach, the Lady Yellow Jackets have most recently taken home the State Championship title, the South State title the past two years, and had athletes compete in high school nationals, and the Mississippi Louisiana all star match.

Last and certainly not least, he has coached the outstanding senior that is Kayleigh Savage, who earlier this year became the first female to commit to wrestle in college for the state of Mississippi.

Congratulations to Coach Hodgson and the entire Lady Yellow Jacket wrestling program!
