Eleven of our high schools are still continuing their journeys to the Baseball and Softball State Championships
WXXV Sports is in full South state mode as 11 of our programs are still blowing and going through baseball and softball postseason play.
Our softball programs kicked off the semi final rounds. The scores from game one of their matchups are below:
- Ocean Springs 2, Northwest Rankin 11 (Wednesday, May 8th)
- Hancock 3, George County 2 (Thursday, May 9th)
- East Central 3, Vancleave 2 (Thursday, May 9th)
- Purvis 5, Poplarville 3 (Thursday, May 9th)
- St. Patrick 4, Wesson 2 (Thursday, May 9th)
Game two of all of these matches will be played Friday, May 10. The softball schedule is below:
- Northwest Rankin at Ocean Springs, 6pm
- George County at Hancock, 6pm
- East Central at Vancleave, 6pm
- Purvis at Poplarville, 6pm
- Wesson at St. Patrick, 6pm
Our baseball programs begin game one of the semi final rounds Friday, May 10th. The baseball schedule is below:
- George County at Pearl River Central, 7pm
- Vancleave at South Jones, 7pm
- Resurrection Catholic at Taylorsville, 6:30pm
