City Of Biloxi To Move Forward With New Mgccc Entrance

The Biloxi Ward 4 Special Election is heading to a runoff between candidates Jerry Creel and Rodney McGilvary.

The field of five candidates for Ward 4 Council member was narrowed down to two Tuesday evening when the polls closed at the Margaret Sherry Library and Fire Station Complex.

This special election comes on the heels of the May 7 resignation of former Councilman Robert Deming III, who pleaded guilty in federal court to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances, a case that began back in 2023 surrounding products sold at his CBD stores.

Five candidates qualified to be on the ballot for the special election. Check out the results in today’s special election below.

A total of 1088 ballots were cast for this special election.

The results will be certified by 5 pm next Tuesday, June 25th.

McGilvary and Creel will be once again be on the ballot on July 9th in the runoff election for this race.
