Two Gulfport softball alums earn MACCC Honors after freshman season

Two of our Gulfport softball alums are making a name for themselves at the Junior College level.

Our former WXXV Student Athlete of the Week and now Lady Bobcat outfielder Brooklynn Montana was awarded First Team MACCC honors in her first year suiting up for Jones college. Montana is currently hitting .329 with 11 doubles, 13 home runs, 50 RBI’s, and she’s a quick one too, stealing a perfect 20 bases of the 20 attempted. Congratulations, Brooklynn! The Wildcats call her the most clutch hitter of the year, Caroline Lindsey receiving All-MACCC Honorable Mention for her first year on the Wildcat roster. She’s currently batting 330 with 4 home runs and 18 RBI’s. Congratulations, Caroline!
A special shout-out is in order to the third of the Admiral trio. Anna Kate Rounsaville had very a succesful first season with the Wildcats as well, currently batting .305 with 4 home runs and 35 RBI’s. Congratulations Anna Kate and congratulations to all three former Lady Admirals.
