- Hi all! I was requested (User_talk:Epìdosis#John_the_Evangelist) to try to solve the co-presence of many authority IDs in John the Evangelist (Q328804) and John the Apostle (Q44015); in fact, most of these IDs regarded at the same time the two persons; since, as of now, the qualifier identifier shared with (P4070) is not correctly considered as an exception by distinct-values constraint (Q21502410), and at the same time it was problematic to divide some identifiers on one item and others on the other only because some chose "Evangelist" and others "Apostle" as preferred name (because "Evangelist" had "Apostle" as alias and vice versa), I moved all of them to the Evangelist because the authority IDs consider the person primarily as an author of written works and Wikidata attributes the written works to the Evangelist. Anyway, the alternative solution would be keeping the IDs on both items with qualifier identifier shared with (P4070); although this solution unfortunately floods constraint-violation reports and queries, I don't oppose it if there is consensus for it. --Epìdosis 08:32, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
