the class "time interval" should be constrained to exactly those things that measure time. day is a unit of time and therefore can inherit from "time interval". holiday on the other hand is disjoint with day, because it is a concept. A recurrent event is also a concept and should not inherit from event. event only happens once and it has a time interval. 05:09, 4 мая 2016 Chjohnson39
- I also agree that holiday is not a subclass of day. Otherwise holiday would be a unit of measure, which it is not. Fixed. Syced (talk) 09:44, 10 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- @Syced: I think that (each) holiday is a time interval (it lasts, it has the begin and the end). And there should no contradiction with unit of measure if holiday (Q1445650) subclass of (P279) day (Q573) and day (Q573) instance of (P31) unit of time (Q1790144). --Infovarius (talk) 08:58, 11 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- And @Chjohnson39: too. --Infovarius (talk) 08:58, 11 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- @Infovarius:: So with SPARQL when I search for units of measure named after German people, it should list Magnus Manske Day (Q10995651)? Syced (talk) 09:01, 11 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- @Syced: you won't get it. Because you will query for instances of units of measure (P31 Q1790144) but neither Q1445650 nor Q10995651 are such instances. --Infovarius (talk) 11:43, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
