The Tigers and Jayhawks lifted College Gameday to new heights last Saturday.
ESPN’s long-running and highly successful college football pregame show drew 2 million viewers on Saturday morning, making that edition of the show the most viewed in its history. Gameday was at Arrowhead Stadium, which was the site of that night’s showdown between #4 Missouri and #2 Kansas.
Previously, the most viewed episode of College Gameday occurred on November 18 of last year, prior to the game between #1 Ohio State and #2 Michigan. That game ended up being the highest rated college football game of the season, a distinction that Missouri/Kansas now also shares.
The game, which Missouri won, drew a 6.1/11 rating on ABC, making it the highest rated college football game of the season so far. The 6.1/11 barely edges out the 6.0 rating for Ohio State/Michigan two weeks ago; that game aired at Noon ET.
