Bulk Institutional Certification Exam Purchases

The Bulk Purchase program provides the opportunity for Institutions or Individuals to pay for multiple exam registrations with one purchase and does not require a contract. Special opportunities for discounts on examination costs (purchase of 20 or more vouchers) or choice of a second chance free, instead of a discount (purchase of 100 or more vouchers) will be provided.  Special opportunities for Multi-site institutions that contract and guarantee more than 20 or more than 100 voucher code purchases in a year can be provided discount rates or 'second chance free' promotions. (see "CONTRACT Institutional Bulk Purchases" below). Participants have up to 1 year from the time of purchase to use their voucher code.

Discounts (Purchase of 20 or more vouchers) or Second Chance Free opportunities (Purchase of 100 or more vouchers) are provided with these bulk purchases. The number of vouchers to obtain the discount or second chance must be made in one purchase.

Discount: Institutions or Individuals who purchase 20 vouchers or more during one purchase will pay the following per examination, based on core or subspecialty examination requests.
    Core Exam Cost                     $305.00
    Subspecialty Exam Cost        $190.00

Second Chance Free: Institutions or Individuals who purchase 100 vouchers or more will have a choice to take the discounted costs or instead of the discount, choose a second chance free.  Any registrant who fails to become certified in their first exam attempt will be offered a 2nd Chance to test for free.

See below for a step-by-step overview of the purchase process.

How the Program Works

  • Make a bulk purchase using the "Make a Bulk Purchase" (without a contract) link below using a credit card or electronic check online.  Payment cannot be mailed and any received will be returned to the user. (Multisite Institutions with a contract must make a bulk purchase using the "Make a Contract Bulk Purchase" link below).
  • Get email confirmation of your order with voucher codes for each type of exam purchased
  • Bulk purchases can be done for core, subspecialty, or a mix of both types of exams.  Voucher codes will be specific to the core or subspecialty exams as ordered.
  • If 20 vouchers or more are purchased the discount will be applied at check-out.
  • If 100 vouchers or more are purchased there is a choice for a discount or a second chance free.
  • Distribute the voucher codes to participants
  • Participants will register for an exam by selecting Register with a bulk voucher under Special Testing Opportunities under the Certification Exams tab.
  • If not already signed in they will be prompted to sign in or make an account. Participants will then have to enter their voucher code to begin the registration process.  If a valid code is entered users will be prompted to select the area of certification for which they want to apply. Vouchers must be used within a year of purchase.
  • The participant will proceed with the application and the bulk voucher will be applied to their registration. No payment will be requested.  If payment is requested, the "Register with a bulk voucher" portal was not used.  Participants will not be asked for any payment information when they have a voucher. Those who pay for a registration will not be refunded and will need to withdraw for a partial refund.
  • The registration application address must be the candidate's address and not the hospital or place of work.
  • An email notification will be sent to the purchaser for every participant who registers with a purchased voucher code.
  • Aggregate data of exam results will be provided in the account.
  • There are no refunds or withdrawals for any reason for voucher codes. Once a voucher code is used there are no cancellations and voucher replacements. Participants who pay for a certification application without using the voucher code and bulk voucher portal will have to meet all policies related to certification registration and withdrawals.
  • If the Second Chance Free option is picked, participants who are not successful in their certification will be notified that after a 90-day wait from the date they took the examination, they can reapply for the same certification examination.  They will receive a new voucher code in the email. Participants have 12 months to use the second chance voucher code from the date the first examination was taken. (the 90-day wait is within this 12-month time frame).
  • Registrations, exam applications, testing, and maintenance of certification follow the same requirements, policies, and procedures for all other applications and registrations as established by NCC for all other registrants.

CONTRACT Institutional Bulk Purchases
Special Opportunity for multi-site, large institutions!

Those institutions with multiple facilities who would like to commit to a minimum number of exam purchases in a year across all their facilities are eligible to participate in this special opportunity to purchase exams at a discounted rate or to provide their examinees with a second chance free if they are unsuccessful on their first test. This allows the smaller institutions to purchase fewer than 20 vouchers as long as the total vouchers purchased equal the requirement over the 1-year time frame.

Discount: Institutions who select this option promise to provide 20 or more guaranteed registrants over a one-year time frame.
    Core Exam Cost                     $305.00
    Subspecialty Exam Cost        $190.00

Second Chance Free: Instead of a discount, Institutions who promise to provide 100 or more guaranteed registrants may choose the second chance free option.  Any registrant who fails to become certified in their first exam attempt will be offered a 2nd Chance to test for free.

To apply all purchased vouchers to the contract, all purchases must be made using the "Make a Contract Bulk Purchase" below.
