Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for obstetricians, gynecologists, primary care physicians, nurses, and other clinicians involved in the care of patients with CMV.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to educate patients with children or who are planning on becoming pregnant about congenital CMV.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Burden of CMV in pregnant patients
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Screening and/or diagnosis of CMV in pregnant patients
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Educate patients about CMV risk
