Marian G. Glick OBITUARY

Marian G. Glick, 90, of Allentown, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024 in her home surrounded by her family. She was the companion of Steve Torres for more than 20 years and the wife of the late Edward H. Glick, who died in 2000.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Ralph L. and Catherine H. “Kitty” (Spitzner) Bartman. Marian was a graduate of William Allen High School. She worked as a Telephone Operator briefly and later as a Deli Manager at Weis Markets for 26 years. Marian was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and the Fearless Fire Company in Allentown. She enjoyed playing Bingo, cards (Skat), Candy Crush and watching the Phillies. Marian loved being with her family and making memories at the family cabin.

Survivors: Loving companion, Steve; daughter, Dawn M. Glick and her fiancé David Geisinger; son-in-law, Joseph “Buddy” Mahalick of Coopersburg; daughter-in-law, Tracy Glick of Whitehall; brother, Ralph L. Bartman, Jr. and his wife Geraldine of Macungie; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; beloved cat, Bella. Marian was also preceded in death by her daughter Sharon M. Mahalick and sons Gary D. Glick, Edward H. Glick, Jr. and Terry M. Glick, Sr.

Services: Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, 46 E. Susquehanna Street, Allentown. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 12 PM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at St. Mark’s Cemetery, Allentown.
