Foo Fighters announce 'Sonic Highways' tour dates

Next summer, Foo Fighters will hit the sonic highways to support their new album. Grohl and Co. will hit 29 stadiums in what a press release touts as “the most massive North American on-the-road undertaking in FF history.”

The tour comes on the heels of the band’s new record, Sonic Highways, and the corresponding HBO docuseries. The July 4 show at Washington D.C.’s RFK Stadium will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Foo Fighters debut and will feature artists the band collaborated with for the album, including Gary Clark Jr., Buddy Guy, Joan Jett, and Trombone Shorty.

British hard rock duo Royal Blood will support the Foos on the tour’s July and August shows, with the exceptions of the July 18 and August 27 dates.
