Dr. Rebecca Mutebi Kalibwani is the current Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Environmental Sciences and Technology, Bishop Stuart University. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Economics from Makerere University (2018) and MSc. Agric. Econ, Makerere University (1995).
She is Principal Investigator in a project of Youth Agribusiness Incubation at BSU, a project that nurtures youth agribusiness ideas, including climate-smart agribusinesses, to ensure that they succeed in an open and competitive market, and provide employment opportunities for young university graduates.
She has over the years been involved in project formulation, development, and evaluation on different undertakings. Her research work includes work in agricultural production, agricultural value chain analyses, policy and institutions, and climate change. She has a strong background in both qualitative and quantitative research, good data analysis, with excellent writing skills. Full profile
The Faculty of Agriculture, Environmental Sciences and Technology (FAET) is a new Faculty born out of the former Faculty of Applied Sciences. It started independent operations in January 2020. The Faculty has two (2) departments; the Department of Agriculture, Agribusiness & Environment (AAE) and the Department of Computing, Library Science & Technology (CLIT).

Mission: Nurturing Multi-Sectorial self-driven practitioners who apply their talents and skills to advance Global Society

Prof. Fina Opio is a professor of Crop Science at Bishop Stuart University and one of Uganda’s top agricultural development experts. She is highly skilled in participatory agricultural research, technology development and dissemination, rural development, plant pathology, bacteriology, gender and agricultural-related issues.

Prof. Osiru S.O. David
Prof. Osiru S.O. David is a professor of Agronomy/Crop Physiology in the Department of Agriculture, Agribusiness, and Environment, Faculty of Agriculture, Environmental Sciences and Technology. He holds a Ph.D. from Makerere University and a BSc. (Agric.) from the same University. Prof. Osiru is an Agronomist/Crop Physiologist with over 40 years experience of University teaching and research on various aspects of agronomy/crop physiology and Environment in many parts of Africa and Europe.
