I was just offered a job there! I am so excited and nervous! I am coming from Long Island....

I was curious if anyone else on here is from Littleton and ever wanted to get together. Its gonna be lonely in the beginning for us. By the way, I am 23 and my husband is 26....

Also, if anyone can offer up any advice, precautions or anything I would be welcome to it.

We are coming up this weekend to find apartments too!

Hope to talk to you all soon!

Hello JackFrost - We came to Littleton in 2006 from Rhinebeck, NY - We're a couple of "old farts" compared to you - I'm 54, hubby is 57, (but we're young at heart <g>) if you'd like to get together, let me know. Where will your hubby be working?

Be prepared for some "culture shock", other than that, if you have any specific questions, feel free to post or DM me. Be prepared for quite a bit of snow on the ground up here this weekend - and COLD - Make sure you bring warm clothes!

Hey and thanks for replying!!! My husband hasn't found a job. He is open to anything, do you have any suggestions? What do you both do for a living? Have people been welcoming? Any suggestions on apartment rentals?

Are you glad you made the move? Theres just so much to do!

Oops, I read your original post wrong - what will YOU be doing? <g> What does your hubby do now, or what is he interested in doing? I do medical transcription from home, hubby is a woodworker (ex-IBM, decided to go back to his "first love" - working with wood after 25 yrs with IBM).

We've found the people to be very welcoming and very friendly with only a couple of exceptions and I think they were just having a bad day <g>.

The links below should take you to two area newspapers with classifieds with apartment rentals.
The Caledonian-Record
The Littleton Courier

Yes, we are very glad we moved. It's a very nice area to live in, wonderful people and the surrounding towns are also wonderful to visit.

I am a teacher. Finally got a job!!! Hubby is a microscope tech but went to school for auto management. He wants a blue colar type job I am assuming.

Ohh, my Mom is a medical transcriptionist! How are you doing that from home? Is part time or full time? How did your husband get into woodworking? My husband would love that, he did some of that in school. He was good!

Congratulations on the teaching job! Which school will you be working in?

I work full-time for a national company - I live in NH and type reports for hospitals all over the country, doing it via the internet. I have benefits, work Sunday thru Thursday 8-4, extra if I want to...and with the snow and cold, I don't have to go "out" to work!

Hubby did woodworking in high school, then learned a lot working with a neighbor who was from Germany and things the "old-fashioned way." The two papers I posted also have job openings in them, so he should browse those ads - he may find something in them.
