LOL, that is so wrong! I lived in South Lake Tahoe for 2 years, our average annual snowfall is 204 inches in town... WAAAYAYY more than anywhere in Michigan. And the cold gets ridiculous in the negatives....

I live in the very northern edge of Minden almost into Carson City and if your looking to come to this area I would say Carson City and Carson Valley is 500% better than the Reno area in terms of people and friendly attitude. I would suggest that you make sure the job your looking at is 200% stable for the next 2 years, because if it falls through, it could be another long search to get another one. Good Luck!

Tahoe is beautiful. I lived in Reno for 10 years, now in Las Vegas. The whole is awesome, small town feel with larger city amenities. Great skiing, golf, fishing and more. Carson City is a small town that is the state's capitol. People are friendly too. No winters like Michigan, but still have 4 seasons.
