I am surprised and disappointed to see that the only search result I get are

Carrington Park , Riverdale, Stonebridge and Parc at Maumelle. They seem like the top of the line options and they don't even have a decent reviews to start with!

We are relocating to Little Rock in less than a year. We have no family or friends there to seek their help. I am trying to find a decent, clean and nice 3 BD 2 Bth in an upscale neighborhood close to UAMS Medical Center. I would prefer a nice semi-detached townhouse to rent however, I found NOTHING. I will be contacting a real estate agent and travelling to Little Rock in few months to see for myself but meanwhile I'd appreciate your suggestions. Thanks

I think the only way to know what's available is to visit, as you are planning to do. There are "apartment and home finders", but they do not always understand what you want. The neighborhood around UAMS is a "mixed bag" as far as quality of places available which makes it even more important to actually see whats available. I'm sorry I'm no help, but I truly believe looking is the only option.

My suggestion....do not live in Little Rock. Live in Bryant and drive in to work. It's an easy drive in on I30, then 630. I was recently in Bryant and was very impressed with the cleanliness and natural beauty of the little city.

Hunting for rentals in Little Rock is surprisingly difficult, and virtually impossible to do online if the UAMS area is your top pick. Apartment Hunters helped me find a starting point, but houses/townhouses don't stay on the market long enough (it seems) for their information to be very helpful by the time you actually want to rent. There are also areas around UAMS that are block-by-block on appearance (possibly safety, but I've not heard of much trouble) and atmosphere, and you can't figure that out online. I recently went though this housing search myself and ended up using very little of the information I so painstakingly researched online. I drove around the area looking at for rent signs (how I found my 3bed 2ba house, actually, and I'm very happy with it) and for complexes that I thought might be options. There aren't a lot of chain/corporate owned apartments/houses/townhouses/etc. near UAMS, so most don't bother to post online or just feel they don't need to. Houses in the UAMS area can rent very quickly without the internet advertising/posting, so although it makes it harder for those searching, it's very easy for the landlord.
