Don't valet the rental, that will cost you. See if the hotel has free self parking around the back/side of the hotel.
It's called being smart about your spending habits. I mean....I can only speak for myself but if I can go on Turo and rent a really nice car for $60 per day vs an Enterprise car at $100 per day, I'd go for the $60 per day car.

Or you could be even smarter and rent from Enterprise at a non-airport location for $50 per day.

I like to be thrifty when I can. Thanks, forgot about Enterprise at non-airport locations. Has anyone rented a car from Enterprise when staying at the strip? They still offer courtesy drop of and pickup?

Forgot about non-airport locations. My bad. I think the reason why I chose Turo over Enterprise is because of Enterprise's business hours. Want to get the car early in the morning or on a Sunday or late at night? Enterprise might not be able to do that. Turo is more flexible in terms of when you can get a car.

If only it were that easy on Turo. I tried using them twice but the car owners weren't too thrilled about my arrival times. Plus the insurance cost on Turo is a real issue. I don't have to pay that insurance on a regular rental thanks to my credit card providing it. Then you get these people who are telling you if you want it at the airport or wherever you are staying there is an extra delivery fee. If someone can make all that work then great, go for it. For me Turo isn't even worth looking at except for the few times car rental prices are truly insane, but even then Turo ends up getting more business so rentals aren't so cheap.

Does Enterprise still offer courtesy pickup? Looking on Google maps there's a Enterprise location ~2 blocks from the hotel we're staying at. Not that I'm lazy, but I would prefer not to walk 2 blocks to pickup in the scorching sun. Would they be able to pick me up?

My car insurance policy (GEICO) covers rentals. Maybe yours does too.

Good point. Turo has its setbacks. The thing about Turo is it is a marketplace meaning your experience will depend on how good the vehicle is and how good the owner/host is. Turo gives you choices on how much insurance you can get doesn't it? I maxed out on the insurance on my trip because I was in a city that I was not familiar with and the city also had a reputation of car robbery and theft so I wanted to be protected and have peace of mind? If I look back, was it worth having the max insurance? Maybe not. But like I said, the date and time that I was going to arrive made Turo a better choice. Would I use Turo again? Not sure.

I use Geico too and it's quite clear they won't cover you with Turo. They do provide coverage for rental cars and credit cards can supplement that coverage further. But if you drive a car owned by another private party that is not in the business of renting cars you create a problem which Turo clearly states on their site.

Planning another trip to Vegas at the end of the month; wife and I are staying at a hotel in Summerlin and will check out some neighborhoods, esp Skye Canyon and some of the Summerlin communities. We're flying into Harry Reid Airport.

Has anyone rented a car via Turo with a pickup and drop off at Las Vegas airport? In checking out Turo, the prices seem less than traditional car rental companies, but a lot of the Turo hosts want an extra $60 for pickup at the airport. Are they wanting an extra $60 for airport pickup and another $60 for airport dropoff? Seems like it's easier and less hassle to rent a car at the airport...
