Can someone tell me if these are legit or a souvenir? I found them in a car I just bought and have a visit to Vegas planned for Oct. Are they real or will I look like a moron trying to find the casino they are from?

I am too blonde to figure out how to attach a picture, but the chips are yellow and black and say high roller casino on them, have the welcome sign and a $1000 denomination. I would be happy to link a pic if someone would tell me how (I have never felt older than I do at this moment. Lol)

Thanks in advance for your help.

Jen

Go find "High Roller Casino" and cash them in. Report back to us when you find out where it's located.

If they are plastic, they are toys.

This looks exactly like the chip in the picture. Even if it was real, you could not cash it out in that high of a denomination. I wonder if some sucker buys this thinking it is worth $1,000.

The limit is higher at most casinos for cash out. If the chip were real, there would not be an issue cashing it out

For chips of that denomination, most casinos will want to match it against actual play. Maybe not at an Aria or a Bellagio, but at a lot of other places they'll have questions if you just show up with a $1k chip.

Anyway, to answer the question, agreed that those are souvenir/home chips. The use of the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign is the main tell -- that image is in the public domain and anyone can use it on anything.
