I live in the East side so anything close by would be nice but I'm thinking of getting an eye exam and new glasses. Any recommendations? Are there any eye doctors open on weekends that give free eye exams? I Want to buy eyeglasses that are anti-glare and anti-scratch so any eyeglass places that have lots of options would be nice.

Hope you don't mind if I tag on to your thread, I'm in Henderson and need a good eye doctor too. I'm due for an exam and need to replace the lenses in my glasses, they fell off in the rocks and are pretty scratched up. Thanks!

I have worn glasses progressive lenses for 20 yrs. I am very very particular about being able to see perfectly and very small print. In order to get a good pair of glasses you need two things. First you need an eyeglass salesperson that knows what they are doing and also knows their products. Second you need an eye doctor that takes the time to accurately determine your eyeglass specifications. LensCrafters at Galleria Mall has both. I have purchased multiple sets of glasses and expensive Oakley Prescription Sunglasses. They have AARP and AAA discounts. I only get Essilor/Varilux lenses. The only guy there to talk to is Patrick Atkinson and the only Dr I recommend is Richard Eusebio. I would call ahead to make sure they are working. They tried to switch Drs on me but told them no way. Also if you are not satisfied with the prescription they will adjust the prescription and give you a new pair. I once went to Visionworks and they didn’t have Essilor/Varilux brand but theirs was “just as good”. Had them make a pair and no, it was not as good. I got a refund.

Costco, although the eye exam is not free. I highly doubt you'll find that anywhere. My wife was very pleased with their selection of lenses and frames. Prices seem to be a fraction of what some other places charge. Quick service too... they were ready for pickup within 2 to 3 days of placing the order.

EDIT: you do not need to have Costco perform the eye exam. You can bring the prescription in from anywhere and simply order the lenses/frames you want.

Found this place. It accepts walk-ins. Anyone use this place before? https://www.visioncenterslv.com/

Somebody also recommended Costco for auto repair services. Do they offer services for a lot of things?

Costco doesn't have full service auto repair. They are pretty much limited to installing new tires and batteries. Most sell gas which is usually quite a bit cheaper than anywhere else.

Check out https://www.costco.com/ to see everything they sell/offer.

Costco has some pretty good deals on tires several times per year. I bought a full set of bridgestone tires with free balancing and install. They also sell interstate batteries but the install is on you.

Good luck finding any health related professional who practices on the weekend here. You're limited to places like Costco.
