last month i was playing BJ next to a guy that partied at Hakkasan the other night. he struck up a conversation with one of the girls and something along the lines of 240k/year was mentioned. seems plausible.

I can believe that. But what happens when Hakkasan gets stale and goes away? She has to start all over again somewhere else. Not to mention, how long will the mega-club fad last?

Then again, there's a lot to be said for making hay while the sun shines.

this made me search for ama on reddit.

https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/commen..._in_las_vegas/

this pretty much sums it up:
How did you get this job? Was there a bikini portion during the interview? I assume you need to be relatively hot to do this.

It's hard. You go through about three interviews and two of them are in a swim suit. For the Wynn pool you are in a ballroom with 500-1000 girls in bikinis. They have you turn and take photos of your body to make sure everything looks good. It's the most degrading thing you can think of.

I *suspect* that she is lying unless she does projects on the side. I know because I am familiar with hakkasan I know some of the nightclub employees and even HK executives. she could very well be making as much as she claims but I doubt its just from the tables and from my experience I know girls love to lie...just like guys like to act like theyre higher rollers than they really are. Ill ask those I know for sure if they do

I tried to multiquote everyone so I hope this works. Thanks so much you all! from the bottom of my heart I mean that. I do try to live ethically. Money comes and goes but pride is forever. besides, it wont seem like such an "easy" trade when one of these girls trade sex for a job and end up with an std

If you have looks, present/speak well, and have a good education, why don't your try for a front of house hotel job, and try to move up that food chain. You won't make the tip money up front, but in 10-20 years, when the hotness wears off, you'll be in a much better place than if you try to make a career out of cocktailing.

Stay with the casino floor cocktailing, and play the game to get into one of the major strip casinos that work under the Culinary contract. Once you get there and get seniority, it doesn't matter how old you get, they can't get rid of you without a really good reason. Go over to Caesars, and look at the women who have the best shifts and locations. Want to be they're not the youngest? Some of them have likely been there thirty years.
yes I think this is probably the smartest plan. I do love my job and the girls I work with now are really nice. But Ive been lured by the glamour of nightlife but you are right its smarter to just stay on the floor. I value stability over a fast but risky pay out

You're timing with this post is interesting in relation to my post just above. The two ideas can be co-mingled. Once your a direct employee of a casino company, in really any position, you're in a much better position to move around within the company to a better position, than anyone coming in from the outside. So you can get into one of the big companies cocktailing, then move to position in the same company that has more a growth potential.

AFAIK, most of the clubs are not owned by the casinos directly, but by outside companies that lease space from, and share revenue with the casinos. The people working at the clubs work for the companies that own the club, not the casino, so they aren't on inside for getting other jobs at the casino.

(pretend I am speaking to the AMA person not bionictony)
Tell that to a "prono starlet" who has just done an ATM bukkake.

The Wynn pool gig is still G-rated, especially when compared to a topless public beach. Ah, Europe.
