I have been to the radar spot, and on lake mead, and a few other spots. It's not the same view as that spot. The perspective makes a huge difference, you're further north, and higher in elevation. It's quite different.

Off road? I notice in your original photo that someone has been riding there enough to leave trails.

According to that site, shortly past the roads on either side are owned by people so I'd be trespassing.

I have no interest in going on private roads or private land.

He seemed interested in challenging the HOA's claim on the street usage. lvoc gave him the info to do it as responsibly as possible. You're right, it could end bad for OP. It could also end bad for the HOA. If it were me I'd contact the HOA, show them the map and tell them they have two options: Either move their guard into Baro Canyon ST or deal with Clark County code enforcement.

Perfectly legal unless posted.

Got hold of the County Commissioners Office. Asked if these people had permission to block the road. Had a little conversation to clarify exactly where.

Finally had a Police Commander to call me today about it. Said they have no rights on Owens and should not be doing it. Said next time call the cops and Metro will chase the Security Guard back into the tract.

He said the tract is likely a little sensitive as they have trouble with parties on that stretch of road at night.

Also said they would dispatch a patrol or two through there on the next Nellis event and chase the Guard back to the tract if he is patrolling out on Owens.

So if anyone wants to watch a Nellis event from up there feel free. Though you may have to assert your rights.
