Hi everyone. My boyfriend and I are planning to relocate to Las Vegas in December 2011. I will have graduated with my masters in speech pathology and have a job lined up. But my boyfriend is in the field of accounting, but he doesn't have his CPA or his masters. He does have over 4 years of experience.

We have no children or pets, and we the company I work for will cover my rent. So if he isn't able to find a job right away, we can live off my salary. However, he prefers to have a job lined up before moving. I know that employers are rather wary of interviewing out of staters. How could he go about looking for a job? Any tips? Should he just wait till we get there to being looking? Thank you all in advance.

Not likely he will find a job before he moves here.

Things are bad, plan on being here and living on just your wages for quite a while. Good jobs are hard to come by and he may have to take something in retail for a while. Maybe pizza delivery.

Don't count on much and you won't be disappointed.

Like I said, don't count on much and you won't be disappointed.

And you will have to have good credit to get that job. Casinos check on people who handle money.

Its more like $14 an hour unless your working in a bottom end property. Its all data entry into spread sheets so the burn out rate and turn over rate is high in the dept. The real money requires getting a masters in finance and the NVGCB certification in gaming compliance.
