They offer classes to get over arachnophobia, you sound like the perfect candidate for a class. lol Seriously, if your move is affected by arachnophobia, you need help. Its not a bad thing, dont take it that way, but they can fix that.
I've heard New Zealand doesn't have anything poisonous. Perhaps there are still spiders, but nothing to worry about. But Steve-o is right, spiders are pretty ubiquitous.

Yes, youre correct for the most part. NZ doesnt have any venomous snakes, but they do have spiders, but no dangerous species.
Seriously, there are several THOUSAND species of spiders on this earth, and only about 5 are POTENTIALLY (that cant be stressed enough) lethal to humans. Look up the # of deaths from Sydney Funnel Web spiders, or Brazilian Wandering spiders, or Black Widows and youll see just how rare deaths are. I seriously dont know why spiders get such a bad rep, its really sad. There is nothing to be afraid of, folks!
Well I almost had a heart attack last night. I was brushing my teeth and a black widow crawled out from behind a towel next to the sink. I threw my toothbrush in the sink and ran out. My mom ended up killing it. lol

How do you know it was a black widow? The only way to tell is the red hourglass shaped marking (on females only) that is UNDER her abdomen, which you cant see when theyre walking. It was probably just a common house spider, completely harmless.
Well, New Zealand sounds like a good option, I guess.
Or you could try Florida - there are so many other types of bugs, spiders would seem like a piece of cake by comparison. That could be a good way to get over your fear.
Just wondering where in the country doesn't have too many spiders or where at least someone with arachnophobia would be comfortable living in.
Isn't it cheaper to get help from a psychologist with the anxiety than it is to move? I'm not being a jerk- phobias are debilitating.
I would guess there are less spiders in areas where there is less warm weather; Edmonton Canada or Helsinki Finland for example.
The rest of the US mainland has hot summers, so I guess the most of the US is out.
