I would put the Z51 package on the stingray before doing the comparison, but yes, the eray and the Z06 are a big step up price wise.

The CCBs need to be bedded, much more so than the Z51 brakes needed bedding. Find a road where you do at least some of the procedure and they will start to feel better.

Even if had revved to 9k, that would still cry out for new raios and Vmax in 6th gear.
