Anytime there is anything outta the ordinary, connect to a code reader to see if there is a pending CEL. I suspect there will be one... which you can then use to start a good search.

Not unusual for the fans to run for a short period of time after turning off the car. My 2014 doesn’t.

How long do they run after shut off? On the occasional hot day I notice mine continue to run for maybe 30 sec?

This can happen if coolant temps get too hot. On my C6, my radiator had a crack that I wasn't aware of yet and temps got HOT. I turned the car off and the radiator continued to run for about 2-3 minutes to cool down. Check your temps when it still runs on shutoff. If they are high this isn't a problem with the fan, and it is just trying to cool things down. If it still runs when coolant temps are low, then there may be an other issue, like the battery etc.

FYI: The quoted “2 minutes” max running appears wrong, for a 2016 z06 at least. On track days when I came in with high coolant temps, the fan ran for significantly longer than 2 minutes after switching engine off.
