The Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child is a world first research centre dedicated to creating positive digital childhoods for all Australian children. Deakin University is the only Victorian university selected to take part in the Centre which is headquartered at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT).

The ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child recently partnered with ACMI to deliver a seminar on ‘Children’s Digital Rights & Data Privacy: What the UK Children’s Code Can Teach Us’.
After completing a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science and a Master of Teaching, Dr Joe Ferguson started doing some relief teaching in secondary schools around Melbourne. Then he saw an advertisement for a PhD scholarship with Professor Russell Tytler at Deakin University.
