Museum Café

The Museum Café is temporarily closed. Because water fountains are unavailable for hygiene reasons, visitors are welcome to bring their own bottled water, but no other outside food or drink is permitted inside the Museum. Weather permitting, picnics are welcome in the Warden Garden, Stoner Courtyard, and Mosaic Courtyard.

The Pepper Mill Café offers affordable international cuisine and a fresh variety of healthy, vegetarian, and sustainable food options for breakfast, lunch, and lighter fare for Museum visitors and those just coming in for the café.

In an effort to keep everyone safe and limit contact between guests and café staff, cashless payment will be strongly preferred and encouraged. We are very excited that we will now be able to accept mobile payment methods in addition to credit cards.

Hours of Operation

Saturday - Monday Closed

For those over 21 looking for a truly golden experience, the Café will offer Dogfish Head Brewery’s award-winning Midas Touch beer. Developed in collaboration with Dr. Patrick McGovern, Scientific Director of the Penn Museum’s Biomolecular Archaeology Project, the Midas Touch is a recreation of what archaeologists found in the tomb of King Midas’ father: residue from a beverage that was unique blend of wine, beer, and honey mead.
