Jordan Anderson wrapped up his second full season as an owner and driver in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series following the checkered flag at Homestead Miami Speedway last month. Anderson capped off the season with seven top-15, 12 top-20, and 18 top-25 finishes. Anderson also went on to place 16th in the driver points standings with his own Jordan Anderson Racing.

Anderson told Kickin’ the Tires it’ll be the same deal next year, doing both the ownership side as well was being behind the wheel of the No. 3 Chevrolet.

“We’ll be back full force next season. I’ll be back behind the wheel for a full season next year we got a lot of our same partners that’ll be back. Bommarito,  Lucas Oil and all those guys. I’m continually always working on the driver, owner goal relationship and how that works out. It’s just exciting to know that our plans are in place and we’ll be back, hopefully stronger next year.”

Crew chief Wally Rodgers sat on the box for the final ten races of the 2019 NASCAR season starting at Kentucky Speedway through the season finale at Homestead Miami Speedway for Anderson. Anderson indicated that Rodgers will return to the No. 3 team for the 2020 season.

“My crew chief (Wally Rogers) will be back with us. It’s cool to have him in place and a lot of our other guys settling in. It’s been good,” said Anderson.

Regarding equipment, Anderson said his team has plenty of trucks in the fleet for now and they’re just learning on how to make them better.

“No new trucks for us. We actually have enough now to where we’re able to go in and cut some bodies off and make them better, and you really focus on figuring out how we can execute and build better trucks. It’s nice to be in a position for next year,” said Anderson.

Anderson has stated that the team is working on going to a two-truck team in the future.

With that said, the team did get their feet wet so to speak as a two-truck operation at Phoenix in November. 16-year old Carson Hocevar made his second career start in the series behind the wheel of the No. 56 Chevrolet Silverado for Jordan Anderson Racing in a partnership with Hill Motorsports. Hocevar went on to finish 23rd in that event with Anderson finishing 28th.

“We’re actively working on a second team as it make sense. We kind of put our feet in the water last year to see what it would look like. We took three (trucks) to Canada and jumped all in going straight to three there. We’re working on doing that some more next season with really being a good team for driver development and be that good middle ground team,” said Anderson. “

In addition, Anderson is all about giving a driver a chance that’s wanting to move up in their career.

“We’re not a GMS, but it would give a driver that’s wanting to move up out of late models or ARCA that maybe doesn’t have the funding to go to a KBM (Kyle Busch Motorsports) or a GMS to kind of be that middle ground team. With what we’ve got and our trucks, I feel like we’re really situating ourselves to be a good middle-class team for these guys that come in and outperform what’s expected of them.

“Its definitely cool to be able to give guys a shot, I know we gave Bryant Barnhill his first Truck Series start, we gave Carson (Hocevar) his first Truck Series start. We gave two older guys Roger and Bobby Reuse a chance to run against each other for the first time. It’s definitely cool to do, to be able to put those pieces together. I’m learning, full force what it means to figure out logistics in running a race team and putting this piece together,” said Anderson.
