Indicators and Statistics to Monitor, Follow-up and Review the Istanbul Programme of Action
The IPoA calls for follow-up and monitoring mechanisms at the national, regional and global levels. It places particular emphasis on the need to monitor at the national level, as the Least Developed Countries themselves take ownership of the Programme of Action. The Office of the High Representative for LDCs, LLDCs and SIDS has developed a set of indicators for monitoring the IPoA at the country level. These indicators are summarized in the metadata sheet below. They are collected annually at the country level and included in the Report of the Secretary-General.
