A kingpin of the Ambazonia armed separatist movement has been reportedly killed in Kumba, South West region of Cameroon by security forces, sources have confirmed.
Security sources said ‘General Ivo’ a he is fondly called was killed on Friday December 21 in Teke, a locality in Kumba during a raid carried out in the early hours by the elite forces of the Rapid Intervention Batallion.
His corpse was later taken away to the military base by soldiers for proper identification before burial given the fact that his death has been announced.
key leaders of the Ambazonia separatist movement have also confirmed the death of ‘General Ivo’ this morning.
There were other casualties during the raid but security forces are yet to raveal the details.
