  2. The only thing science can do is corroborate or falsify our hunches after we’ve had them. The real insights, the real eureka moments, come from the hunches. To believe that science is the engine of progress is to believe that the methodological tail wags the cognitive dog.

  9. Nobody I’ve read comes close to ’s understanding of the “Coming Apart.” The feeling, the sense, described in these passages, IMO, explains Occupy, BLM, Antifa, Brexit, Trump, and Gilets Juanes, and recent elections in Australia and the EU.

Only a person who’s never had to be on ACA with a family can imagine it affordable. My experience on it was a fucking nightmare that drove my husband to find new employment. I literally get sick to my stomach just thinking about those days. Which I wouldn’t have gone to the

Maybe, just maybe, if you understand what I’m trying to say, then you’ll understand why the first 15 seconds of this video was a Keith Richards moment for me (next tweet explains “Keith Richards Moment”)

Viewpoint diversity, or intellectual diversity, if it exists only in the front row - only within the Front Row value system, based only in Front Row credentials - is not real diversity. And what’s more, it IS EXACERBATES the very problem you are trying to solve.

So far you’re not. So far you’re doing what’s described in this excerpt, also from Dignity. , and its two Open Mind conferences, epitomize what this excerpt describes.

If there’s to be any possibility of you achieving your goals then you need to understand this. You need to absorb it into your being. You need to feel it in your moral bones. And then you need to incorporate it into your plans; into the solutions you’re developing.

I’ll say it still more plainly: The Front Row is progressivism; liberalism in the American Sense. It is doing to non-progressives *EXACTLY* what describes in Dignity.
