Metallica confirmed the existence of the Death Magnetic special-edition "coffin box" on their official website. The contents of the box pretty much match up with those that a Norwegian music site posted last week: the actual album, an additional disc full of demos, a making-of DVD, an exclusive T-shirt, guitar picks, a flag and a fold-out poster. Plus, the box will come with a "collectors credit card" embossed with a code you can use to download "a special European show happening in September." Details about the show and the actual release date of Death Magnetic will be announced soon. And as you can guess, the entire package is housed in a box that's shaped like a coffin. The set won't be available in stores, so you'll have to get in virtual line at Mission: Metallica in order to claim the set.
