The University of Derby was ranked a top 5 UK Modern University in the International Student Barometer overall support experience* That is why we offer a meet and greet service at the start of each academic year for our international students. We will meet you at the airport arrival lounge. This service is free but you must book in advance.

Making your own way to Derby or Buxton

The University of Derby is located in the middle of the UK, it is easy to get to by road, rail and air. If you are not using the meet and greet service please tell us when you will be arriving in the UK so that we can support you.

Welcome programme

Our Welcome Programme consists of events and workshops, which will enable you to be fully prepared for living and studying in Derby and Buxton. We will email you all the details of your welcome programme before you arrive in the UK.
