Prior to coming to the United States in 2007, Aline served as a goalkeeper at “Guarani Futebol Clube” (Sao Paulo, Brazil) for six years, from ages 12-18. Guarani was considered a top notch team, winning several league titles back when Aline played. During her years at the club, Aline was considered a key player for her team's successful seasons, earning several Defensive MVP accolades as well as other honors. Besides soccer, Aline played competitive Futsal, a game that requires goalkeepers to acquire quick reflexes, demands fast-thinking skills along with great ability to play with their feet. Subsequent to her Graduation from High School, the goalkeeper moved to the United States to attend the University of Central Florida and become part of the Women’s Soccer Team, from which she received a full athletic scholarship.
Reis started her first semester at UCF in August, 2007. However, she was unable to compete in the Fall of that year due to an ACL surgery that kept her out for four and half months, forcing the athlete to redshirt in order not to lose a year of eligibility. Aline was back on the pitch for the Spring of 2008 and prepared for the soccer season that would start in the coming Fall. From that moment on, she was the starting goalkeeper for all four seasons, appearing in 85 contests (83 starts) and earning 28 shutouts. After an impressive career for the Knights, Reis was named UCF’s No. 1 player in the C-USA era.
The significance of Aline Reis' career can be summed up in one perfect moment: Her diving save of midfielder Ranee Premji's final PK attempt for perennial powerhouse North Carolina in the 2011 NCAA Sweet 16. The moment her hands snatched the ball, Reis ensured her team's berth to the Elite Eight for the first time since 1987. It's arguably the shining moment of the highlight reel that was her tenure as a Knight".

Seinäjoen Mimmiliiga (Finnish 1st Division)
2012 - Fresh out of college, Reis decided to take on a new adventure. She accepted an offer to play for Semi Mimmiliiga, located in Seinäjoki, Finland. It was Aline’s first time living in Europe and the whole experience was not only a professional opportunity, but especially, a growth opportunity as an individual. She was offered an apartment to live in by herself, but instead, she asked the team manager if she could stay with a host family. This was the best decision she could’ve made. Living with a local family and being part of a true Finnish routine allowed Aline to experience their culture, make great friends and memorable memories.
Semi Mimmiliiga was talented, yet a very young, inexperienced team. Aline was one of the few veterans on the team. Even with some result struggles along the way, Aline managed to make herself known in the whole country. She had a stellar season, earning several “Player of the Match” awards and finishing the season with offers to play for two of the top teams in the league.
Ferroviária (Araraquara, Brazil)
2016 - Reis signed a contract to play for Ferroviária/Fundesporte in January, 2016. It was Aline’s first time living back in Brazil since the time she left the country to attend college in the USA in August, 2007. After setting the goal to make the National Team again and fight for a spot on the Olympic Roster, the goalkeeper decided that she would have her best shot if she played in the pro league back home. Visibility was the most important thing at that point, she she has been “out of the game” for a while. So playing in the Brazilian Professional League and having the opportunity to be seen by the National Team Coaching Staff was crucial for her eventual return to the National Team Roster.
Ferroviária is one of the most prestigious women’s soccer teams in Brazil, having a tradition of excellence on the field and many national and international titles under their belt. Ferroviária is the current champion of Libertadores da America - in other words, the best women’s professional team in South America in 2015 - and playing for them was an exciting opportunity for Reis. That season, Ferroviária made the Brasileirão Feminino Final Four (National Tournament). Aline, once again, received a lot of attention throughout the season, due to her outstanding performance on the field and admiring leadership. The goalkeeper’s talent and experience didn’t go unnoticed by the National Team Staff.

2009 - Aline was called up to the Full Brazilian National Team Camp for the first time. It was an incredible experience at such a young age. The group participated in only one match against the "Minas Gerais All-State team", in which Reis was the starting Goalkeeper earning her first National Team shutout.
2016 - Following a distinguished Spring Season with Ferroviária, Reis earned a spot on the National Team Roster again and a contract to be in residency with the Full Brazilian National Team (Seleção Permanente) that was preparing for the 2016 Olympic Games happening in Rio. Reis beat out 2015 World Cup starter, for the back up spot in goal.
