Crank up the hype machine: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is shaping up to be an even bigger crowdpleaser than the first one, at least if test audiences are to be believed. The James Gunn-directed Marvel sequel has scored a perfect 100 in an early test screening — an extremely rare feat and the highest ever number for a Marvel movie. However, there are a few caveats. Bruce Springsteen is a Harry Potter fan. Perhaps the boss isn’t a Potterhead, but he enjoyed reading J.K. Rowling‘s stories to his son, Sam, enough to want to go out of his way and write an original song for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. The song, titled “I’ll Stand By You Always” (which is definitely the title of a Bruce song), was rejected by Warner Bros. and never released, but after all these years, it’s now available for your listening pleasure.

The Han Solo cast just keeps getting bigger and better. Thandie Newton is reportedly orbiting the Star Wars spinoff, which also stars Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, and Woody Harrelson. Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler got their start in show business at the late night comedy institution known as Saturday Night Live. Since then the two have gone on to become two of the biggest comedy starts working today. However, despite their history together, they’ve only been seen in Blades of Glory and Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues with each other, and neither had them sharing much screen time. But they’ll finally take the lead together in a new R-rated comedy from the writers of Neighbors.
The House sees Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler as a couple of parents who discover that they’ve somehow blown through the college fund they started for their daughter. To ensure that their daughter still has an opportunity to follow her dreams, they decide to start an underground casino in their living room. Taika Waititi (Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Thor: Ragnarok) and co-director Mark Gustafson (Fantastic Mr. Fox) have signed on to direct a stop-motion animated movie biopic titled Bubbles, about Michael Jackson’s famous pet chimpanzee. Seann William Scott was once quite the popular comedic actor, but in recent years, he hasn’t been as in demand as he once was. Thankfully for him, fans of the 2011 hockey comedy Goon have been wanting to see him return to the ice for years, and how the American Pie franchise star finally has his skates on and fists up for the sequel.
Goon: Last of the Enforcers brings back Seann William Scott as Doug “The Thug” Glatt. But in the new trailer for the movie, it appears the years of beatings have finally caught up with Doug as the doctor tells him that he can’t play hockey anymore. Meanwhile, a lockout brings some new players to Doug’s old team, the Halifax Highlanders, including his rival Anders Cain (22 Jump Street star Wyatt Russell) as the new captain. Doug has no choice but to pick up his stick and throw some punches back on the ice.
