Look at the screenshots and read the article again.

“The 3.0 GHz clock was performed with the default test called “msi-01” and 616W was recorded workload called “Furmark-donut”. The latter is much more power hungry.”

Different instructions use different amounts of power per cycle. Similar to AVX instructions on CPUs, which usually require a downclock to remain stable, there are certain power hungry instructions you can perform on GPUs. The Fuzzy Donut program runs these specific instructions which increases the power draw so vastly that the clock speed must be lowered to remain stable, yet you are still drawing way more power than a normal benchmark running at 3.0GHz.

Qualcomm makes wifi chips for laptops called the FastConnect 6900. All this report is saying is that laptops that have the FastConnect 6900 wifi chip and a AMD Ryzen 6000 CPU will be more efficient than laptops that pair the FastConnect 6900 wifi chip with another CPU (Intel). While this is a nice small benefit for people choosing to buy an AMD laptop over an Intel laptop, this is not market moving news.

also have you updated your bios? The newer bios for the asus z390 boards lowers your quality %. Presumably because the original bios is from August and they have seen higher binned cpus since then so they had to adjust their data.

So even with the higher power limit the oc scanner did not take advantage of the extra headroom and is still topping out around 2025mhz, however the power monitor is showing higher power usage at the same frequencies. Now hopefully, this bios update will allow even higher clocks through manual OC but right now all it seemed to do was consume more power at the same frequencies as the old bios.

So I played around with evga precision x1 a bit and it turns out the xc only has a max power limit of 112%, unlike the xc ultra which I have seen to have 130%. I also tried the new oc scanner and it increased my stock boost from 1905mhz to between 2010 - 2025mhz. I havent had a chance to do proper OCing but I’m certain you can push it more than this. Interestingly I got a higher OC on the oc scanner when the voltage slider was at 0 vs 100.

Same thing is happening to me on my Xs Max. It doesnt matter if I have Smart HDR or Keep Normal Photo on or off, it will always save one picture to my camera roll (which doesnt have the HDR tag on it).

As far as I know base stam has always been 535 for pvp and pve. I’ve never seen someone claim the base stam was 740.

Remember if you want the 9k stam in last stand/skirmish then all 6pc’s must be rolled to stam and you need atleast 4 stam mods since the classified gear is normalized down to 1272.

yes it does but as long as you have all 6pc’s rolled to stam and atleast 4 stam mods then your stam will be over 9k in last stand/skirmish.
