You can avoid damaging the ribbon cables by not opening up the device. Cameras are not meant for users to dismantle. Manufacturers have service centers with trained personnel to do that, if needed.

Great camera for serious video shooters. Not that great for shooting photos at high ISO due to small sensor. Overall it's an excellent bridge camera with an amazing zoom range.

Absolutely YES!!! Pentax K-S2 priced at $450 is weather sealed, and so are practically all their DSLRs. So what's this "market segment" excuse that would justify Olympus leaving out weather sealing?
