The main character will be Moana Waialiki, a sea voyaging enthusiast, and the only daughter of a chief in a long line of navigators. When her family needs her help, she sets off on an epic journey. The film will also include demi-gods and spirits taken from real mythology. Written by Anonumous
The story takes place with a grandmother telling the tale of a legend to a group of toddlers on the island of Motunui. All of the kids seem terrified, except for our heroin Moana(Auli'i Cravalho) who gets over excited, which invokes her power to control the ocean, revealing a glowing green stone that she finds spellbinding, however her father Tui (Temuera Morrison) warns her of the dangers of the stone and throws it away. In pursuit of said stone and Mai (Dwayne Johnson), Moana sets sail. This is an adventure that includes Maui teaching Moana how to navigate using the stars, running into coconut pirates(yes you read that right) and even a gigantic crab.
As creative as "Inside Out" and as beautiful as "Up", Moana is a Hawaiian enriched story that takes you on a wild adventure, this is an animation that you might enjoy as much as your kids. With such acclaimed directors such as Chris Williams and Don Hall behind this, it should hardly come as a surprise for this to be such a successful endeavor.
