'New Mutants' Gets 'Game of Thrones' Star Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane?

The New Mutants has been in the news a lot lately. And it is believed that this will be the next installment in Fox's Marvel series following X-Men: Apocalypse and X-Force. While Josh Boone, best known for The Fault in Our Stars, is confirmed as the director, there is precious little else that we actually know about the project. Today, Hitfix claims that the movie has found three of its leads. Though, none of this has been officially announced or confirmed by 20th Century Fox.

The biggest piece of casting intel revolves around Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams. She is said to have joined the project, and is the second Game of Thrones star to sign on as a Mutant following Sophie Turner, who plays Jean Grey (aka Phoenix) in this summer's X-Men: Apocalypse. The report goes onto claim that Maisie Williams will be playing Rahne Sinclair, the New Mutant otherwise known as Wolfsbane. »

Math Has Determined the Most Important 'Game of Thrones' Character

In just over three short weeks, HBO's iconic fantasy series Game of Thrones will return for Season 6, which is by far the most secretive yet. We've only seen a few trailers with bits and pieces of new footage, and loyal readers of George R.R. Martin's books have been left in the dark as well, since the show has caught up with his novel series. And it isn't known when his sixth novel, The Winds of Winter, will be published. While fans continue the countdown towards this upcoming season, Macalester College math professor Andrew J. Beveridge and undergraduate Jie Shan published a research paper dubbed Network of Thrones, where they use math equations to determine who the most important character in all of Westeros really is.

Of course, given the show's massive and sprawling cast, which often changes drastically from season to season, this is certainly no easy feat. But »

Snow White's Sister 'Rose Red' Is Getting a Disney Live-Action Movie

After a string of successful live-action fairy tale adaptations such as Maleficent and last year's Cinderella, Disney is exploring yet another iconic character, with a revisionist twist. The Hollywood Reporter reveals the studio has picked up a project entitled Rose Red, which follows the story of Snow White's sister. While fairy tale fans may recognize the Rose Red name, the project will present an entirely new story.

Rose Red is a character who did appear in the original Grimm Brothers' fairy tale, but she was featured in a different adventure separate from the story which the iconic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was inspired by. This new project started as an original script by Justin Merz (The Boxcar Children), which was envisioned as a stand alone movie. Screenwriter Evan Daugherty (Snow White and the Huntsman) came up with a different take described as a "companion piece" that sticks »

How Did Robin's Death Shape Bruce Wayne in 'Batman v Superman'?

One of the instantly iconic images from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, seen in the first trailer, is of Robin's costume hanging in the Batcave with The Joker's taunts spray painted on the front of it. We know that Robin died, but the circumstances behind the incident that brought about his demise is never fully explained in the movie itself. Only hinted at. In a recent interview with IGN, director Zack Snyder revealed why Robin's death was important to the movie, and how it shapes this incarnation of Bruce Wayne.

"In my mind, it was that Robin had died about ten years earlier, during some run-in with a young Joker. To me, there was a fun backstory to play with. I felt like the whole idea was that there had been loss. and there had been sacrifice. You know? In a weird way he scarified everything to be Batman, »

'Dungeons and Dragons' Movie Gets 'Goosebumps' Director

Back in August, Warner Bros., Hasbro and Sweetpea Entertainment finally resolved a long-running legal battle swirling around the rights to Dungeons & Dragons, announcing that a live-action theatrical movie is finally moving forward. We haven't heard much about the project since then, but today The Tracking Board reports that the project has brought on Goosebumps director Rob Letterman to take the helm. The filmmaker will be working from a script by David Leslie Johnson (Wrath of the Titans), who was attached when the project was announced last year.

Dungeons & Dragons was created by E. Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson in 1974 as a fantasy roleplaying game and since then has amassed millions of players and fans worldwide. The hugely popular property has also influenced numerous writers, directors, game designers, and other creative professionals throughout its four decades. The game previously spawned the 2000 adaptation Dungeons & Dragons, which famously flopped at the box office, »

'Big Bang Theory' Star Jim Parsons Takes on 'Man-Witch'

The Big Bang Theory has been so popular, and so lucrative for its cast, they haven't ever really had to seek employment outside of this geeky small screen universe. But leading man Jim Parsons, who plays Dr. Sheldon Cooper, is about to make the rare leap to feature films. He has taken on the title role in Man-Witch. Don't worry, it's not about a dude mysteriously transformed into a Sloppy Joe. Though, that might sit okay with The Big Bang Theory's core fan base.

Man-Witch, deftly curbing from Warner Bros.' own Harry Potter franchise, tells the story of a schoolteacher, to be played by Jim Parsons, who discovers he has witch-like powers. He's taken in by a coven of real-life witches, and is quickly sent through 'witch school'. There, he is the only adult witch, surrounded by little girl 'witches-in-training'.

Jim Parsons will also produce Man-Witch, which has »

Jared Leto Wanted to Reinvent the Joker in 'Suicide Squad'

When Jared Leto was first announced as The Joker in Suicide Squad, the Oscar-winning actor wasn't who fans were expecting to take over the iconic role. As production started last year in Toronto, we learned that the actor was staying in character the entire time on the set. Stories about Jared Leto's bizarre antics began to surface. With just over four months left until Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5, Entertainment Weekly caught up with the actor, who shed some light on his approach to this iconic villain, saying he wanted to make his own mark with the character.

"The work that's been done on this character by so many people before me has been so impactful, so incredible, so much fun, so profound, so risky, that it's a very special thing to be asked to take on that responsibility. You just knew you had to do something different. »

'Hardcore Henry' Review: A Nauseating, Action-Packed Hell Ride

Hardcore Henry should be shown to every student in film school on day one. There may be no better example of why the steady cam is so important. The entire film is seen from the first person perspective. So you never see Henry, just the world through his eyes. Imagine watching an entire movie like Call of Duty or Doom. It's an interesting gimmick that may have worked if the experience wasn't so jarring or if the plot made sense at all. Of course Henry doesn't talk or have any real physical contact beyond combat. That should suffice the pure action junkie, if the fumbling about of the camera didn't result in vertigo. I respect the effort by the filmmakers, but felt like a trip to the chiropractor afterwards.

Henry wakes up in a lab with a beautiful Russian doctor (Hayley Bennett-Jones) installing a robotic arm and leg. Henry can't »

Chris Pratt Pilots the Milano in 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' Set Video

Last week, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 star Chris Pratt revealed that he is teaming up with Omaze for a new charitable initiative where one lucky fan will get to win a trip to the set in Atlanta. Fans who donate $10 or more will be eligible to win the grand prize of becoming an honorary Guardian of the Galaxy and getting to hang out with Chris Pratt while he shoots some very important scenes. Earlier this week, the actor took to his Instagram page to promote this endeavor, while posting a new sneak peek featuring himself piloting his ship, the Milano.

Unfortunately, we don't get to hear any dialogue in this scene, but it's clear that Star-Lord is having some difficulties keeping the ship under control. We aren't sure if the Milano has come under attack in this scene, but it certainly seems possible. It's also worth noting that »

'Suicide Squad' Reshoots Will Add More Jokes and Humor

Warner Bros. and DC are apparently responding to critics who have bashed Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice for being too dark and humorless by adding more jokes to this summer's Dceu adventure Suicide Squad. According to Bmd, reshoots are currently happening as we speak. And these reshoots will reportedly alter the tone of the movie as it currently exists.

Sources close to the DC Comics adventure alerted Bmd to the fact that the second trailer, released in January and set to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, contains every single joke seen in the movie. That trailer, which was different from the one released during Comic-Con 2015, doesn't actually represent what is in the finished movie. But fan response to the trailer was overwhelming. This led Warner Bros. to request that director David Ayer go back and reshoot some of the movie.

The idea is to bring more lightness to what is an extremely dark film. »

Earlier this month, filmmaker Kevin Smith shared a photo from the Vancouver set of The Flash during production of an upcoming episode he directed, which featured his long-time co-star Jason Mewes on the set. At the time, it wasn't known if Mewes actually had a role in the episode. But yesterday, the filmmaker shared a new photo from the set featuring both himself and Jason with the villainous Zoom. "Meta-Mewes! The folks at @cwtheflash were kind enough to include a cameo for my hetero life mate @jaymewes in the episode of The Flash I directed. As a longtime lover of everything that ever aired on @thecw, Jay was ecstatic to have scripted lines in one of his favorite shows (plus, »

Brienne's Badass Side Returns in 'Game of Thrones' Season 6

The controversy swirling around last year's Season 5 finale of Game of Thrones was largely focused on the death of Kit Harington's Jon Snow, but there were several other burning questions fans wanted answers to. One of these questions centered on Gwendoline Christie's Brienne of Tarth, and how she would respond to the news of Sansa Stark's (Sophie Turner) escaping Winterfell, after Brienne missed her distress signal. Entertainment Weekly recently caught up with Gwendoline Christie, who spoke about fans' reactions to Brienne's failure, while teasing that she will "burst forth" in Season 6.

"After Season 5, people would come up on the street moaning about why wasn't Brienne doing more. I'd say, 'I'm terribly sorry, I'm not really in charge of that.' I got the scripts for Season 6 and I thought the story was so fantastic. It's really exciting to see Brienne burst forth again."

'Walking Dead' Season 6 Finale Left Norman Reedus Speechless

While we don't yet know what will happen in The Walking Dead finale this coming Sunday, we do know it has had a profound effect on the AMC series' cast. This is not an episode that will leave fans smiling. Andrew Lincoln was left so traumatized by the script for this Season 6 ender, it was the only time he ever showed up late for work. Lauren Cohan was so sick at her stomach and distraught, she didn't want to go to work at all. And poor Josh McDermitt had to throw his script across the room just to get away from it. Now, the episode has been viewed by Daryl Dixon himself, and Norman Reedus reveals that it literally left him speechless.

Yes, Last Day On Earth is going to crush souls and make grown men cry. At least that's what we guess after listening to the participants tell the story. »
