The OM-D FF will be here in 2016

The OM-D FF will be released this year for Olympus 80th anniversary, and it will be released with one of those three primes (24, 28 and 35mm) and probably a 24-70 zoom will follow.

I don't know if they will make a new mount, or if they will choose the E (Sony) mount.

Making an OM-D FF will be easy for Olympus, no big R&D, just take an E-M1 or E-M5 body as a basis and modify it to sport a FF sensor. Making some prime lenses isn't a big deal too, and Olympus centrainly has the expertise to do it easily.

The Olympus marketing team is pretty good now, and promoting a FF camera shouldn't be too difficult.

The OM-D FF will be a trial. If it sells well, the line will continue. If not, it will just be a cult camera released for the 80th anniversary, that created a BIG BUZZ. Good for marketing.

So, zero risk for Olympus, nada. A win-win strategy.

Of course, it is all speculations

m4/3? It will continue to be the main Olympus camera business for many years to come, for sure.
