Idea for a Basic Enthusiast's Camera

1. No dummy modes, only PASM on one small dial.

2. Exposure compensation dial

3. Raw output only

4. Full frame sensor; mirrored and mirror less available

5. Dedicated shutter speed and aperture dials, in the traditional places

6. Hand-filling grip

7. Less than $1k for the body

8. Good optics (no reliance on distortion correction in post-processing)

9. Doesn't need to be 40 MP; 20 would do

10. Pure B&W version available at lower price

11. Good auto-focus, with easy manual focus option

12. Zero menus

13. No LCD display, at all

14. Optical viewfinder

Basically, it would be designed like a 70s camera, but with modern guts. The expense of the sensor would be absorbed by the lack of frills we don't really need.

I think it would sell like hotcakes. How about you?
