As co-creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis teased to The Hollywood Reporter earlier this season, the Underworld is a twisted version of Storybrooke, filled with dearly (and not-so-dearly) departed characters from the show’s five seasons. I don’t know if it’s intentional, but it seems that every show is having that “blast from the past” thing going on, much like this week’s episode of Sleepy Hollow. The Witnesses cross paths with the Jersey Devil, also known as Japeth Leeds, a rival scientist who was shunned by the scientific community, Benjamin Franklin included, who went Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on himself and transformed into said Devil. I’m going to come out and say it, Sleepy Hollow faithful, and you can holler if you hear me: I don’t care about Pandora’s origin story.
So the fact that this week’s episode spends so much time establishing Mrs. Hidden One’s backstory is a bit of a bummer, especially because the hour also includes a real breakthrough in the Witnesses’ relationship. Wouldn’t it have been cool if the show have devoted more time to exploring Abbie’s important revelation?

Diona Reasonover has been cast in “Charity Case,” Courteney Cox’s Fox pilot, Variety has learned exclusively. She will play Cox’s on-screen assistant in the comedy.
“Charity Case” revolves around Hailey (Cox), who inherits her late billionaire husband’s charity but quickly finds that changing the world is far less glamorous than she had imagined.
Reasonover will play Kara, Hailey’s new assistant at the charity foundation’s headquarters. The character is described as upbeat, idealistic to a fault and thrilled to have landed the job, but she’s in for a rude shock after getting to see Hailey up close and personal.
“Charity Case” also stars Kyle Bornheimer, Isiah Whitlock, Jr. and Dan Gill. Cox will pull double duty as an exec producer, along with writer Robert Padnick, who penned the pilot and James Griffiths, who is set to direct. ABC Studios and 20th Century Fox are producing. »
