I have learned of two other cast additions to Twin Peaks, David Lynch’s upcoming new installment of his groundbreaking 1990 supernatural mystery series. No one is commenting but I hear Patrick Fischler (Hail Caesar) and David Dastmalchian (Ant-Man) will be in the new season, slated for premiere on Showtime in early 2017.
They would join such Twin Peaks newbies as Amanda Seyfried, Naomi Watts, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Laura Dern, Robert Knepper, James Belushi, Tom Sizemore, Balthazar Getty, Grant Goodeve, Larry Clarke and Caleb Landry Jones.
Like Watts, Fischler had a breakout role in Lynch’s Mulholland Drive. He recently recurred on Silicon Valley and Once Upon a Time.

yeah!!! Patrick Fischler!
Just curious if anybody knows. When a show adds on more and more actors, and some of them no-name actors – how much is their salary? Do they get paid the SAG union amount or not?
To the best of my knowledge, yes, it has to be a SAG production, and, yes, there are minimums. But there are different minimums depending on the size of your role: e.g., speaking, non-speaking, re-curring, featured, etc. Non-union actors become members via the work they do, and, when I knew about this stuff years ago, if the actor is a non-union actor and the production wants them for a larger role they front the costs for their full membership. You could probably Google or check Wikipedia for more. I hope this helps!
Again…Guys, it is not a reboot. It’s a new season, keeping on the whole story from the point where it stopped.
And one of the few continuation/remake/reboot/re-whatevers that actually sounds like a good idea, too.
