Because of the small size and weight, Olys make great landscape cams, where the amount of photons is not an issue.

I'd love to see something like a weatherproof Pan-F, but with a 50ISO 40MP sensor. That's the ultimate landscape camera, and the 7-14 and 12-40 are the ideal landscape lenses.

In the meantime, on the general photography front, the existing E-M1, or a new version with a third dial and 20MP, is fine. But it captures one quarter the light of an FF camera, and while normally that's fine sometimes it isn't. We have f1.2 primes coming apparently, and that's fine - sign me up for a short tele and maybe something around 12mm.

But sometime people want a zoom, so can we take a leaf out of Sigma's book and have a 12-35 f1.4 please? And don't over engineer it the way the old FT lens was, make it a reasonable compromise between size, weight and price. It doesn't have to stellar into the corners wide open, just good.

The combined E-M1-II and 12-35 f1.4 combo is going to be the same size and weight as a D750 and 24-17 f2.8 combo, which it will also match in performance. Why MFT you might say? Why not Nikon FX in the first place? Well, firstly, why not? People have got it firmly in their head that quality is decided by sensor size, but it isn't, it is the entry pupil of the lens that does it. And secondly, lots of like to have one system we understand well.

Finally, please chuck the computing power and / or bought in expertise to make a sports camera above the E-M1 that actually has C-AF to match the best cameras. You have PDAF, you will shortly have bright enough lenses, what's the problem?

So my own personal set would be:
40MP 50iso landscape camera with existing zooms and fish
20MP 200iso compact camera in pocket with the existing ~ f1.8 lenses.
E-M1 size camera but with better C-AF, f1.2 12 and 45 mm lenses for quirky low light or shallow DoF shots.
Heavy 12-35 f1.4 zoom for occasions I would like a D750 and f2.8 zoom but don't want to have to buy one as well.

I'd take the landscape set to the seaside, have the compact set in my pocket daily, use the fast primes and sports cam if I were shooting at events or whatever and use the big heavy zoom for my day job of shooting pictures of rescue dogs.

The fast primes are coming. The landscape cam - they really are missing a trick there, but they seem determined to miss it. The better C-AF they just don't seem to have the resources to do. The 12-35 f1.4 - I think it's required, they clearly disagree.
