DSLRs all over the place

When people talk about camera size they often talk about an "always with you" camera but I suspect this isn't nearly as big an issue as many believe.

Obviously some will want a high end camera with them much of the time but I think for the majority of buyers of such cameras I don't believe this is the case. For the majority the serious camera is only something they use when there "doing photography" that uses the cameras abilities such as say shooting wildlife, a school sports day, landscape on holiday, etc producing output that can be printed well. When it comes to more casual use though those people will just use there phones because the phone is good enough for say a snapshot showing you shopping, having dinner, meeting a friend, etc.

That's a lot of the reason DSLR's have been more resistant to mirrorless than many believed they would be.
