Chris Wilson – Officer of the Year, 2009

Officer Chris Wilson has been a dedicated employee of the Arcata Police Department for several years. He previously served as a CVPP volunteer, police dispatcher and currently as a police officer.

Chris was selected for this award by a vote of his peers.

During is free time, Chris enjoys working on his cars and cooking with a BBQ grill that he constructed himself.

 

Brett Davie – Employee of the Year, 2009

Retired Sergeant Brett Davie served the City of Arcata for 27 years as a police officer, sergeant and, after retirement, as the abandoned vehicle abatement officer.

Brett passed away in June 2009. He will always be remembered for his hard work and dedication to the Arcata Police Department as well as his wonderful sense of humor.

Brett was selected as employee of the year by a vote of his peers.

Brett will be greatly missed.

 

Lil Stodder – Volunteer of the Year, 2009

Lil began her career at Arcata Police in July of 1979 as the department’s first juvenile diversion counselor. She was a full-time employee until 1990 when she retired and became a CVPP volunteer.

Lil still regularly works with the CVPP assisting in vacation house checks, traffic control and other duties.

Lil was selected as volunteer of the year from a vote of her peers.
