M.S.J. (Masters Degree for Non-Lawyers)

Seton Hall Law's Master of Science in Jurisprudence (MSJ or MS) program is designed for non-lawyers eager to advance their careers in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, information technology, telecommunications and biotechnology fields. As an MS student, you can concentrate in Health and Hospital Law, Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Law & Compliance, or Intellectual Property Law. Joint concentrations are also available. You will have the option of completing our 30-credit-hour degree program completely online, or as a hybrid online/traditional (in-person) degree program.

MSJ applicants do not have to take the GRE or LSAT.  Enrolled students do not have a residency requirement.

Enhance your marketability with a Master of Science degree in just one year as a full-time student or as few as two years as a part-time student. You may take up to six years to finish the program.

Seton Hall Law has specialized in health and intellectual property law for more than a decade, and its health law program is consistently ranked among the top 10 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. Faculty conduct research on a wide range of health and intellectual property law topics. Seton Hall has also produced the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Compliance Manual published by the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) and the Food and Drug Law Institute (FDLI).
